Microwave Research and Applications, Inc. develops and produces microwave systems and processes specifically designed for researchers or industrial products or processes.  We work closely with you to understand and meet you goal for using microwave processing and concentrate on batch processes or smaller industrial processing rather than large scale microwave systems (microwave systems using less than 15,000 – 20,000 watts of energy).  Our products have significantly reduced processing cost and reduced processing time as heating or drying time reduction is a common result of applying microwave energy to materials.  We have produced a 20 foot long conveyor for cooking bacon for use fast food restaurants.  For one company, we reduced the processing time by applying microwaves to preheat elastic materials before pressing them to their final shape.  This sufficiently reduced the process time to where the company eliminated a 3th shift operation.
