Chemical Laboratory

Products: BP-301, BP-310
It has long been known that chemical reactions are generally sped up when heat is applied. Under the right conditions, microwaves are a great way to add heat to chemical reactions. Microwave energy is clean with no hydrocarbons burning or electric heaters to put in a solution. The amount of heat (energy) can also be controlled quite well. While there are limits, microwaves tend to heat throughout a solution or material as oposed to conventional heating that takes place through the wall of the vessel holding a solution or material. Microwaves generally do not heat the vessel, just the solution or material making them efficient and quick.

Microwave ovens used in chemical laboratory environments must be designed for the corrosive environments that they must face.
